Southport fuel injection uses the latest technology in fuel system & engine management diagnostic & service equipment to guarantee your engine performs as it should. Robins expertise is often used by other companies to diagnose & correct EFI (electronic fuel injection) related problems.

Many workshops perform what is called a "rail flush" or "on car injector service", this procedure is quite expensive & has very little benefit. Over the years I have had pretty much all the different companies come to me wanting to sell me there machines & chemicals & I have watched many demonstrations performed on various vehicles with varying degrees of success however, the end result is when the fuel injectors are removed from the vehicle & set up in the flow bench after these treatments, they are simply not clean & do not flow correctly.

The only way to correctly clean & test a fuel injector is the way Bosch (the inventor of the fuel injector) stipulates, this being submersing the tip of the fuel injector in an ultrasonic bath containing a mild detergent whilst electronically activating the injector in a pulsating manner. The fuel injector can then be flushed out & flow tested to see if it is still serviceable. If so the injector can have a new pintal cap, filter basket & seals fitted before re-fitment to the vehicle. This method ensures all injectors now operate as they did when they where new & gives them another 60,000-100,000 KLM before they will need doing again.

At Southport Fuel Injection fuel Injector servicing and flow testing is all performed in house. A Chassis Dyno can also used in conjunction with the latest test equipment to diagnose hard to find engine miss fires and drivability problems.

Dirty fuel injectors can cause poor starting, rough idle, poor performance and excessive fuel consumption.
Fuel injectors should be removed and serviced every 60,000-100,000 KLM.
